Esequiel (Zeke) Garcia

Esequiel Garcia is an enrolled member of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and has served the Pueblo in various capacities for over 13 years. Born and raised on the reservation, Mr. Garcia graduated with a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Texas El Paso. Mr. Garcia worked as a Community Supervision Officer for the Tribal Court. In 2006, Mr. Garcia became the Director of the Tribal Records Office and currently holds that position. He also serves as Vice-Chair for the Tigua, Inc., Board of Directors, the economic development corporation for Yselta del Sur Pueblo. Mr. Garcia continually demonstrates his dedication to the YDSP community by volunteering and serving on several committees and organizations such as Project Tiwahu and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). He has dedicated his time to improving the quality of life for tribal members both on and off the reservation.
