Kristopher Hohag is a citizen of the Bishop Paiute Tribe and was raised in Bishop, California. Currently, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Bishop Paiute Tribal Council. Elected in 2013, he served his first year as an at-large member of the Tribal Council. Prior to serving the community as an elected leader, Kris worked primarily with youth on and off reservation with the Bishop Indian Education Center, Toiyabe Indian Health Project and as a volunteer community organizer. He has been instrumental in the formation of numerous programs focused on engaging youth in the community and developing leaders including the Bishop Tribal Youth Council. Kris holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine and a Masters of Education from the University of Washington where he focused on Language and Culture Revitalization.
